Volunteer

Volunteers are an essential part of our care team. Their caring and generous spirits make a difference in many lives every day–one person at a time. The primary purpose and goal of our volunteer program is for volunteers to provide hospitality and conversation to patients, their families and visitors, while assisting the staff with non-clinical support. Responsibilities and duties may vary depending on the program you select and types of services you wish to provide. The time you spend in volunteer activities may vary, from a few hours a week to several hours a day. You can schedule time and volunteer at a location that is convenient for you.

The St. Vincent House strives to create a home-away-from-home for Ascension St. Vincent patient families who come to Indianapolis from around the state and beyond to receive care. The St.Vincent House provides a place to stay and amenities that are meaningful and needed during serious and sometimes life-altering healthcare events. Volunteers may become engaged at the St. Vincent House by signing up for special projects such as preparing and serving meals for the families and group projects such as outdoor clean up.
