Remembering Pierce Hitchins
The Pierce Hitchins Stress Center Youth Services Fund was established to support youth services at the St. Vincent Stress Center. Services to be supported are those that directly impact patients ages 6-18 years old and who attend the Day School at the Stress Center. St.Vincent Day School is a full-day intensive treatment program that comprehensively integrates educational and therapeutic services. The program is designed to meet the needs of students of all ages who present related to emotional or behavioral difficulties impacting their ability to learn in their regular school environment.
To date, the funds have supported the purchase of play equipment and important school supplies, such as microscopes, and was part of a grant that funded the restoration of the Basketball Court at the School. New durable laptops and a 3-D printer have been purchased to help support important STEM learning in the classroom.
Educators at the school have a wish-list and we are reaching out to you to ask for help funding their requests. 100% of the monies in Pierce’s Fund go to the students of the Day School to support the joy of learning and fostering creativity. Please help us keep Pierce’s memory alive with your donation to this important fund.
With love, Owen, Dorothy, Patrick Janki, Claire, and Dhruv Hitchins
