Kokomo Cancer Center

Ascension St.Vincent Kokomo Cancer Center

The Cancer Center at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo has been helping people in Howard County and beyond survive and conquer cancer since 1981. The Cancer Center has experienced growth over the years and currently serves around 500 new cancer patients and provides 10,000 treatments annually. This growth and constant use are a direct result of the quality, compassionate care already provided at the Cancer Center, and have also revealed opportunities to enhance patient care even more by expanding and updating the Cancer Center to address certain needs that currently exist:

Separation of Treatment Space: The infusion center where patients receive chemotherapy is currently located in a separate part of the hospital. A larger space would allow all services to be provided in a single location.

Waiting Room Space: The current waiting room is often at or beyond capacity. A larger waiting area would be more comfortable for patients and their loved ones.

PET Scanner Availability: The PET scanner that is used by doctors to check for cancer cells is currently only available one day each week in a leased mobile unit. A larger space would ensure that the PET scanner is available at all times.

Atmosphere and Decor: The current Cancer Center facility has been well-loved over the years and needs a refresh to create an inviting environment, including updates to flooring, walls, artwork, technology, and furniture.

The time has come to renovate and upgrade the Cancer Center into a larger and more welcoming space that our patients deserve. Watch Katy share her story.

DANA HARVEY, BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR

"As I was going through my radiation treatments, I felt the staff genuinely cared about me. I wasn't just a number to them, but a person with fears and aspirations. And the one thing they gave me that meant so much was hope."
Your support impacts our patients, families & care team members directly through the area you choose.
