Pilots for Kids  Helping hospitalized children since 1983

A hospitalization is a frightening experience for many people - but especially so for children. For this reason, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent has created several themed patient rooms to help make each patient's environment as child-friendly and uplifting as possible.

Pilots For Kids (PFK) is an international organization dedicated to helping hospitalized children. Founded in 1983 by airline crewmembers, the non-profit organization's primary activity is visiting children's hospitals and bringing toys and other needed items to each child.

The Indianapolis chapter of PFK (Indy PFK) is comprised of more than 155 professional pilots and aviation enthusiasts from Indianapolis and the surrounding area. During the Christmas holiday season, uniformed Indy PFK members visit kids in three Indianapolis area children's hospitals and two campuses of St. Mary's Child Care Center for under privileged children. Indy PFK members donate their time, money, energy and talents in order to provide gifts and a temporary distraction from a medical condition or life circumstance for over 300 Indy area children every year. Please consider joining Indy PFK's effort to sponsor a PFK/Airplane themed room at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. You can make your tax-deductible contribution below. For additional information on how you can help please contact Captain Dan Ferracciolo, Indy PFK Coordinator, 317-408-0267 or ironinstrument@sbcglobal.net.
